Description

I'll stop harassing you with all of this harvest stuff (and TG I don't have that many 'harvest pics', just a few more with (planting/harvesting of) potatoes, but shot in 3D -my 'thingie'! ;-) - ) usually I'm 'in the act', but 'this time' decided to go 'on strike' for a few (which was appreciated, photos will be welcome for their website ;-)) these are Leo & Martin cutting green cabbage all over the place, only 'proper' sizes for an order most cabbages were actually 'too large' and got almost refused on the field in the back, across the water, were heaps and heaps of unions, an enormous amount! Leo said he thought that that 'regular' -NOT organic- farmer didn't want to sell them for 1 1/2 (euro)cents per kilogram...(!!!) that is what (regular) farmers get offered. (I thought it was 4 or 5 cts/kg :-( ). lowest price at the supermarket is 100 eurocents or a little below- per kilo at the mom (!) Lots of 'regular' farmers have daytime jobs nowadays. To cope or to earn a bit to cover their expenses (!)

Marvellous image! I think it is appalling how 'we' expect good food for practically nothing. The supermarket giants have driven so many dairy farms out of business here in the UK.
