Description

"Get Well Chloe!!!" Before I had a Chihuahua, I thought they were not "real dogs"......(just sissy dogs, "toys" even). I'd always had retrievers, German Shepherds, etc. But Rudy was a "throw-away" dog, whom I adopted when he was six weeks old, because he was just so darn cute. I've never regretted it, because he's funny, brave, protective, and a great companion, since I live alone. I couldn't even bring myself to put "animal" as his photography category..LOL He's much more than that to me.....He's getting old now, and I have to help him with steps sometimes, but he's still the young pup in this photo, (at heart). Here's to all the canine heroes who make our lives so much richer.

I love how you keep him so nice and clean and brushed. Maybe he's has Cece hiding in the closet to groom him. :O)

Oh I could not imagine myself living without a dog or cat, we've always had one or more combinations and they really enrich our lives in many ways. Rudy looks very smart and gentle and I hope you both can bask in each other's company for many more years!

This is a good portrait and added to that is your well expressed respect and love for a companion much larger in living than the small size would suggest.

In a way, I thought the same about Chihuahuas for a while, especially did not like the attitude of a couple of them that I experienced. The way many people describe their beloved Chihuahuas, though, I have to conclude that they are all very different in personality. I always loved large dogs, but as I'm getting up in years, the smaller dogs are more appealing, and these I can keep up with better. Your Chihuahua is a cutie, and what a blessing to have such a wonderful pal all of these years, and a hero. I currently have two Dandie Dinmont Terrier rescues.

He's lovely.:-) We have two Chihuahuas and even though we've had other dogs before, it's so very different with the little guys. I can understand every word you have written about him. They're just so much closer to our hearts.

Geez Linda.. he´s not a dog.. he's the cutes lucky charm I have ever seen!!! Those eyes!!!!!!! You know how I feel about dogs... animals actually... and I think that the word animal is a compliement. We wish we were as good as they are, right? This is something I once read and it never left my mind or my heart.. I wish someday it happens to me... "One day I realized that everytime one of my dogs passed away, he would take a piece of my heart with him. And everytime a new dog would come into my life, he would bless me with a piece of his heart. If I live a long life , with some luck, every part of my heart will be from dogs, and then I will become as generous and filled with love like one of them" This little guy of yours Linda is one of your little blessings ... you 2 brought a big smile to my face today and God know I needed it badly! Give them a big kiss for me!
