Looks like a Renaissance painting....very beautiful in tone. I think the light in the window doesn't make sense, though. If it were a light in that room, some of the light would be coming out the other window, too, and not is such straight rays....unless someone is in the tower signaling with a strong flashlight. I think the man you added gives it a nostalgic touch. Why is he there...just an old man taking a walk....or is the signal for him. Really fine image altogether.
@linwhite: it's not lighting... it's a scratch comes from the texture used! But the confusion is pertinent and I like this!

Colour selection here is perfect. Reminds me of WWII for some reason, and looks like an old photograph ( that they use to colourize) Terrific job again. :)

Beautiful scene and ambience love the colours, the scratch textures added work very well within the scene and are not to overpowering, the only nitpick I have are the leafless tree silhouette on the right seam a little to black ? My eye was immediately drawn to them and away from the main focus of the image.
