Description
I fell in love with Australia as a Fourth Grader in a one-room school house in northcentral Kansas. My geography book had a color picture of the Blue Mountains that entranced me and I've been keen on Australia ever since. That interest has been enhanced by programming from such TV channels as PBS, The Travel Channel, Animal Planet, and various National Geographic specials. The writer, Bill Bryson, wrote a book about his travels in Australia, which was entitled "In a Sunburned Country." That phrase has stuck with me whenever I think of Australia--especially when I have in mind the arrid interior.
It would be difficult not to admire the grit of the hardy folk who live in the Outback. Guess I was trying here to show some of that quality of those people and that sunburned land they love and from which they wrest a living.
So thanks, Australia, for just being!
Thanks for looking and for past diverse encouragements.
Jeremy
