Description
Hello friends everywhere!
Thanks for your lots of comments for my last picture. With this pic here I will bring you back an early morning in Berlin and I hope I could catch this special atmosphere.
This alley here is called "Unter den Linden" and is the finest boulevard Berlin can offer in the eyes of many Berlinians.
The alley once connected the Emperors chateau in the east with the Brandenburg gate at the west. The chateau was damaged in WW II and would teared down by the communistic leaders in the early fifties. In opposite to the chateau was this statue of preussian king Friedrich II. The Great, shown here as a horseman. Friedrich II. is beloved by the Berlinians and others till today and is called "The Old Fritz"
THe boulevard is normally very busy by day and at night. Here in the early morning is nearly- NOTHING. I couldn`t believe at the first moment.
Pic was taken at 5th August 2011 at 6.10 A.M. in the morning.
Hope you enjoy this pic and the Berlin impressions. Please feel free to send some comments, both directions.
Bye, billcody

ME GUSTA.
Splendid composition and colors my friend
thanks Unter den Linden had its example in my city (Lange Voorhout - 1534 AD) as you can see when you google it (Den Haag Lange Voorhout).
Fantastic capture !!
Wonderful capture!! Love the light and shadows of early morning!!
Great composition. Converging lines and framing highlights the equestrian figure
A lovely light. The authorities must keep those Lime trees cut back or they would hide the statue in one season!
you right no cars on the right for sure. wonderful looking with the sun like this
Perfect symmetry, great shot- thanks for sharing! :) By the way, have you checked out the Halloween Photography Contest! "Zombie Apocalypse!"
