Description
"In the soft light of the morning, the knight is off, on his own and with an uncertain journey ahead. A new horse and some more practical clothes for the trip."
#7 in my series with the nobleman's son and his escorte/guardian.

#6: "Trading a Horse (2-shot)"
#4: "Coming Out of the Forest"
Toolbox: Vue, Poser, Onyxtree, Xfrog and Photoshop.
Items from DAZ, C3D, 3D Warehouse and myself.
In my last post, someone commented on the speculars/highlights, suggesting that I should tweak the textures in Vue. Well, I always do that, and never use the Poser shader tree. In fact I don't even import the Poser scenes, but export as Collada from Poser 7, many benefits in that...
The look is intentional, and you may disagree or dislike it, but it is not "wrong". Nothing in art is "wrong" when it is the result of a deliberate choice.

This is so good! The depth of the landscape, the vegetation and all the details you put in the picture. The light is excellent. Beautiful achievement.
Nice one
Nice composition, I like the village in the background. Nice illustration/painting feel (not photorealistic, but I guess it's not your goal). Very well done
AMAZING!!!
Excellent work!!!

Awesome as always, love the little purple and yellow flowers on the road.
what a lovely scene.
Beautiful scene. I really love the pathway on this one
Another great image. Your attention to scale is laudible and it "makes" the picture.
You are really inspiring me with your series!!
Another amazing scene in the series!!
Fantastic work ^^ I love the landscape, the perspective and the light here ^^
Absolut perfect Lars !!
Most amazing work on this scene, it's so nicely composed and lit, with a perfect shadow work! Vashek
Nicely done! Great sense of depth, well-executed lighting. So what are the advantages of exporting as Collada, if you don't mind my asking? I usually export as Poser file and redo all the textures.
it looks great, very natural looking and excellent lighting.
Greatly done - love the details and the mood !!!!
