Description
These lightboxes have been installed in many city alleys. Originally erected to showcase pieces of art at night, artists are now encouraged to paint over them, and the light emitted through the perspex gives an interesting glow to the nightly landscape. Most of them end up with about 100 coats of paint on them!

Some people have missed the box and made a mess of the wall. I heard about these boxes but have never actually seen one-and i did not believe it when i was told about them either. This is a really superb capture especially noticeable when zoomed

This is beautiful but probably wouldn't last long over here!!
I love this shot! The colors are amazing! I rather like the graffiti surrounding the light box as well; it's like a conversation between artists. I'm partial to some forms of graffiti anyway: I rather like it as an odd sort of human language, since--like a language--it follows a particular logic and has a particular syntax. What really rocks about this shot is the incongruity of everything, the pigs, the spray paint, the whole hodepodge nature of the stuff you captured here. It's busy, it's jiggly and exciting, and really, really gorgeous.
Interesting aspect! Don`t speak out so loud, things like this would copied in Berlin immediately! This is the right stuff for the graffiti scene here, they would act like a swarm of piranhas to get a piece of this meat.... Good idea of the authorities, and a good idea to paint them over, too. Creates strange effects and something new. I agree with Chipka in all aspects. Thanks for sharing, this is beside the "normal" and looks good, too.
