The ball: As an infant he was amazed at its motion of rolling as if it were alive! It is now the focal point of most of the games that he, and other children throughout the world, are playing as they learn the important rules of social conduct. It is unique in that it is the smallest shape that can contain the largest given volume. It gives him a glimpse of eternity and infinity in that its surface has neither a point of beginning nor end! Tha ball - - - epitome of simplicity, yet awesome in power, isn't it?! (Please excuse this old geezer for getting somewhat poetic!)
