These two were sartorially miles from anyone else at the event, and that's saying something! Points for originality.
I don't know who they were or what they were doing.
Well, I do know they were drinking.
I also know they were taking turns brandishing a plastic sword with a partially eaten sausage duct taped to the end of it. The sausage had more than a passing acquaintance with a dirt floor somewhere. I don't know why they had a sausage duct taped to a plastic sword to begin with. (I made sure the sausage was not visible in the image. You're welcome.)
I also know that the one on the right was wearing leopard-print rubber rain boots and leopard-print tights.
Taking their picture was like herding cats.
When I was done photographing them, I had to go take a nap. Whew! They were quite something!
Young extraverts, full of energy and beer.

I think you summed this up with 'like herding cats'...that would be easier than trying to get my head around this. 'RodS' shares my original thoughts, and if true 'why not'? as long as they enjoyed themselves, as you obviously did..quirky, fun and BEER! my idea of a good day.......
