Description
I created this as part of the tutorial I'm writing on booleans and I really didn't want to post it but it just was barely cool enough to put it up.
Even though it's a bunch early for Halloween, I still like this simple image.
Fun and easy.
For those of you who care, this was rendered with a little subsurface scattering, a bulb light in the pumpkin for the candle light, and an additional light for the light cone emanating from the pumpkin.
Oh yeah, there's that spot light outside illuminating the outer skin.
Toss in some GI and it takes about 30 minutes to render.

Gorgeous lighting. Fairly minimalistic scene, but very impressive nonetheless.
