Description
I love romans since my childhood and always watched these monumental "sandals-movies" (surely there's a better word in english, but I don't know the translation...), especially the Centurions and Praetorians :o)
Now when I uploaded my other romans-picture yesterday I thought that it would look much better if I'd have made the crown with Carrara-hair instead that strangely modeled crest.... well, I couldn't resist and this is the result.
I was going for a classic pose for him and after the rendering couldn't decide if I should put a filter over it that gives the image a canvas-look, but now I think it's better without. It would destroy the face and skin, which I think is actually very detailed this time, although I used the same settings like in my last image (where the skin looked less detailed).
Oh my, I'm talking too much. Obviously I'm on a roll ;o)

Awesome work dude.
Fantastic, scene, and great realism.....!!!
That crest, the whole render, in fact, is outstanding. Love it, and I am fascinated by Ancient Rome, too. I think the sandals movies might be gladiator movies?
