Four shots from Julia's Moon Flowers, which she first introduced to our gardens last year, and this year are attempting to take over! Next year we'll probably be giving them away! The Moon Flower is the nocturnal version of the Day Lilly; a vampireish, beautiful pure white bell shaped flower that unfolds at dusk and then takes its final bow in the early rays of the following dawn. They are quite impressive, especially when one bush has 5 or 6 blooms at a time. These photos were taken with the exclusive lighting assistance of our home security lights. Had I been so inspired, I would have dragged out our studio lights resulting in the lighting not being quite as harsh. However, at the time I decided this would probably suffice. Perhaps next year. ISO was 1600 to 2000 depending on the shot, f/12 or 13, with a shutter speed of 1/4 to 1/2 second. Thanks for stopping by! marshall
