Description
Camas Days Parade starts of with a big bang.
I was about 20 feet away from the muzzle when they set it off. I could feel my chest being compressed by the shockwave - exhilarating experience to put it mildly
as a side note, my ears rang for a little while after

A really nice capture, Mike!
Great capture Mike! Here in Spain we have a lot of these Bangs and I am getting boring about them! There also have been a big bang in Oslo, it is cuel what happened in Norway, I have some friends up there and they are save, we have contact via Facebook!

I laugh because you see in your photograph people with their hands over their ears. Did you not? I love this scene, a great capture, hilarious!
Great capture aand shot , Mike !
great capture, mike. i love the reactions of all the folks, especially the lady in center front--she really looks terrified ;) looks like you're having some great weather too--hurry up and send some of it eastward :D
No Quaker Oats? Lol. Great capture, Mike. I'm sure that thing WAS loud. I feel for those who manned the canons in war. I would guess many went home deaf as a post.
Lovely Shot.
oooh cool!
looks like great fun! Nice image!
Cool! My ears are still ringing from getting struck by lightning my first night in the desert 25 years ago. What a welcome, huh? ;)

Quick trigger finger to catch the smoke Mike unless it was the blast that set off the camera. :>) Dana

COOL! How far did the ball go?! LOL, just kidding. Nice capture but perhaps you should have worn ear protection.
Wow! I zoomed it to see what produced the smoke...
