Description
Today's picture is a 2D portrait of the french singer Patricia Kaas. Her style is a mix of jazz, blues and pop.
Why do I choose to draw her portrait? Because she's from the same region as me : la Lorraine.
In her songs she describes very well the complex identity of this part of France torn in two six decades ago between France and Germany.
Today, we feel french of course, but we don't forget our german culture and history.
World Wars were awful and killed too much human beings : that's why we prefer being friends with german peoples who live just on the other side of the borderline. They have suffer like us and peace is much more better than war.
The title of the picture is also the title of a song !
Have a great and sunny week-end
Virginie

Bonjour, Virginie .. It is good to see you still creating and sharing. This is a close likeness of Patricia. It is near to her particularly through the eyes. & I like the butterflies very much. Here is news for you: the family of my mother's grandmother is from la Lorraine. ... Perhaps we are cousins!? :-) Life allows me some time for my own rest and re-creation once again. I shall explore all your recent postings soon. May you enjoy a relaxing and inspired weekend! With warmth, Terry

Bel ritratto , molto delicato e piacevole espressione della donna !Molto bello l'effetto pittorico! Buona giornata ! Beautiful portrait, very delicate and pleasing expression of the woman! Very nice pictorial effect! Good day!
Great portrait!!

So beautifully done! Wonderful portrait. I love your title -- it's so evocative! There's a movie that was made nearly 40 years ago of the same name ... Lady Sings the Blues ... about the incomparable Billie Holiday.
