Looks like one more day for modeling and then onto texturing and UVs,,, Ah.. the fun of it all!
Actually did get a lot done... still have all the ropes, knots, and a gathered sail. You'll see lots of loose ends here and there. Not going to rush this. Hope you like the sail ties!!

LOL - Ralph isn't the only one with Vikings in the attic! Some of my ancestors came from Norway, and I've been back to the old country especially to visit the fabulous museum in Oslo and see the Gokstad and Oseberg ships. I love these amazing vessels and have been studying them for a very long time. Your model is far and away the best and most accurate I've seen to date. Even the extrapolations that you've made make perfect sense and look great. Looks to me like you know a thing or two about sailing, as well. Can't wait to see the finished product! I shall be at the head of the line to purchase it (right behind Ralph, of course).

A beautiful work, a model very compelling. The only thing missing that Kirk Douglas and Tony Curtis to complete the saga (Un beau travail, un modélisation très convaincante. Il ne manque que Kirk DOUGLAS et Tony Curtis pour achever la saga.) Bravo.
