Description
Sarasvati is the goddess of the now dried up Sarasvati River in western India that ran beside the Indus River. Her name means 'flowing woman'. She is said to be the daughter of Shiva and the shakti/consort of Brahma. She is also the goddess of letters (writing and speaking), the arts (music, dancing) medicine and knowledge. The swan is her iconic animal and sometimes the peacock. She carries a string of pearls, which represent both wise words and wisdom. In her other hand is a scroll containing the Vedas. She is usually shown with four arms. The other two are shown playing a stringed instrument, either a sitar or vina.
Poser figure with digital-painting and collage.
