Description

High on the ridge behind her, the troops stirred and Grella turned to see if her sister had arrived. There, mounted atop her fearsome rhinaga, a large, reptillian, predatory beast of feline grace and muscularity, was Gura the Vile, mistress and commander to the orkz of Argoth's most elite battalions of assasins and shock troops. Grimlock stepped from the cave to join Grella, though still getting accustomed to only a single eye and lack of depth perception, and watched as Gura rode her beast slowly through the ranks on the ridge above, assessing every soldier, ork and goblin alike, without a word. Gura was accompanied by four massive shock troops, wearing their characteristic iron armor and tooth jawed helmets astride heavily armored, angry looking triceratoxen, or troxen as they were more often called. Some distance behind her, there rode a group of three very thin orkz on rhinaga beasts similar to Gura's, clothed in black leather uniforms with sparse iron plating and long, curved swords sheathed at their hip and across their back. Each of the three were masked with a vented iron helm, swept back into a point from the back of the head, with a single thin horizontal slit for the eyes, and attached to the rest of their outfits by leather straps. This was Gura's personal attache of hunter-assasins, the Dargur, the best that the orkz of Argoth had to offer. --------------------------------- Text is just an excerpt from the ongoing work I've put into writing the story behind all our "Fantasy Racez" characters and concepts. The image here isn't from the scene as written, but is a good depiction of Gura the Vile on her Rhinaga mount. -Les
