Description
Found this Daring Jumper (Phidippus Audax) when trimming the shrubs last week. Kept her for several days now in hopes of getting some shots like this.
Having her doesn't seem to make getting a great shot much easier, but it does give me more chances to get some.
This is by far and away my fav shot I have taken of a Jumper (or most any other insect/spider).
Tried some tone mapping to get a more vivid look to my shots. Curious what others think of the PP.
Thanks for looking.

Wow Bruce, great work. One of the cutest spiders I have seen. :)
Sehr gute Makro-Aufnahme!
ok, have to say that spiders are not among my favorite creatures...but this little one is almost cute...really great capture!
That is awesome, excellent capture! They are so small by me I never realized they were so hairy. :)
Stupendous!
An amazing macro shot!!

Superb work Bruce!
This is superb work !!
Wonderful shot well done.
Spetacular macro, cool colors and details!
He is cute! They always scare me! I'm afraid they will jump on me or my camera. Great shot!
Greta portrait of a spider with an apparent personality...
I am afraid they will jump also. I think I would leave a puddle! You captured him really well. Awesome shot.
I like it, the eyes are paramount, very nice!
Very cool.
This is absolutely superb work and the work you've put into it really does show. I've had occasion to visit with jumping spiders, but I have to say that they're notoriously bad at posing...well...they don't even try to pose, but that doesn't matter. They're among my favorite spiders around: possibly because their legs are essentially hydraulic, and just very, very strange...but then Nature tends to try novel things in terms of getting its biological creations to move around. I love the details in this shot and the clarity of those eyes (all of them!) Gorgeous, highly successful work!
That face is just too cute!
wow ! excellent macro !!
Fantastic shot!
Great capture of this little beauty! She/he watch you! Jumping spiders are one of my favorites! Lovely portrait! :o)
Amazing photography my friend.
