Description
is called a ceremony held in Bali where Priests file/grind the cutting and fang/tusk teeth from teenagers as as step to getting adults. it was a 2 day procedure where this picture is from the first the "cleaning" day.
The selective sharpness on the girl in the middle is done with a 85mm/f1.4 lens which has this limited DOF.

great capture!! beautiful girls and crowns, hmm andere Länder andere Sitten aber komischer Gedanke !
very lovely girls and cool shot
Sounds like a wonderful ceremony...not! I'm sure the teenagers enjoy it as well. That's a nice lens you have there. I love that shallow depth of field. It certainly works well in this case.
excellent shot! nice girls,,happy week

Stunning capture my friend. God Bless.
The shallow depth of field is outstanding! It's a fine shot, made better by that one thing. Amazing, what a difference something like that can make. Excellent result!
Excellent capture.
Kinda weird ceremony never heard of such stuff but i guess all these cultures today have their own stuff.
Positively lovely.
Great photo!! Lens did frame the girl in the middle perfectly.
Great technique! It really does make a big difference in emphasizing the subject. An otustanding image. I did not know the Balinese filed teeth.
