What a gorgeous shot and a perfect dedication to one of Renderosity's best! I'm sure she'll love it. And I like it a LOT too...it's so relaxing and rustic and so far from the stuff I see everyday in Chicago...heh, all I see nearly every day here is rain, more rain, and sometimes, rain. This has a nice feel to it, rustic, but not boring. And I'm not sure, but those pink blossoms look like peonies and they add such a nice splash of vibrant color to this. I love the weathered textures and that silvery color old wood takes on after a few winters. This is a fantastic shot! I like the mood of it as well, and I can almost hear birds, especially a couple of really conversational crows gossiping over long distance as crows tend to do. And yeah, I have it on good authority that crows love gossip. I like this a lot and it's a perfect dedication!

You are not late at all, Lynell - going by your posting date - the 16th,OK! it's just that we are appr. 15 hours (or more?) ahead of you ... LOL WOW - you did it again - another great old barn, just to my liking and I agree with Chip, the splash of colour against the weathered wood, is just perfect! But they maybe Rhododendrons, if I am not mistaken ? Having said all that, yes indeed in which barn have you been hiding, lately ? A timeless image, all the way from the middle ages up to yesterday. A few days ago I heard pink and gray described as the best combination for decorating. It sure works here. Wonderful gift for Brigitte.
