We got there at dawn and photographed until the fog gave way to a bright sunny day..time for breakfast.

nice dawn moment, see the rail goes right in the corner ;-) so i like the composition of the picture. if you allow me some word of critics or my personal favor: the blue hour gives a blue overcast, can be removed with automatic color correction. same with the vignetting from the 18mm. As the main street lamp is straight the horizon isn't, perspectivic correction does the trick here. I myself would have gone one or two steps to the left and get rid of the parked cars. could be still cut now. If you like, send me (gecko_gr@yahoo.com) the raw or the original jpeg and i give you a choice how i imagine it could be worked in post processing.

I've only done a few dawn shots and most of those were either in Prague or along the Chicago lakeshore on a morning that was far too cold to mention in polite company. I love dawn shots...or any form of "twilight" shot, when there is light, but not much. The shadows in this make such an excellent contrast to the largely blue tones. This is really exquisite work.
