Description
Hi there.
There where many of them in the garden under a pile of rotten wood. I tried to use no flash this time and so I lay them in the direct sunlight to get a good lighting of the scene. After some seconds they start running away from the sun and hide under the wood again. Not an easy job :)

WOW! I am quite fond of these creatures. I like isopods in general, but woodlice and sowbugs are among my absolute favorites. In Chicago we have the more "armadillo" sorts of woodlice: very shiny and not so bumpy, but I rather like the European versions as they look a bit like trilobites. These are such amazing creatures and so photogenic! You have captured a perfect specimen here. What colors and textures, too! I love this! It's perfect! I've learned that if you feed them lettuce, they stand still (while eating) and so they are easier to photograph.
