Description
What I believe is a Picture Wing Fly from the Arboretum. When I wasn't next to it with my camera lens it would do a little circle dance around the leaf it was on. Soon as I got back in it's face, it would stare at me and sit still. Much like a Jumping Spiders reaction to a camera lens.
Great looking eyes on this guy, and fairly small at about 8mm.
Thanks for taking a look.

wow! nice!!
Just look into those eyes! What a shot. Great job!
Great capture... cute caption.
Marvellous details in this super macro, his eyes look amazing.
How fascinating..if only they could explain themselves.
A stunning macro!
More amazing work from you my friend. God Bless.
sweet shot, nailed that focus!
Magnificent! I doubt seriously a still shot could have captured the full movement of the dance. Video, possibly. However the detail of the full image is such that one can see the octagonal lenses of its eyes.
gorgeous macro!!!!!!!
Great macro.
