Description
I love how pelicans look as they fly overhead. This was part of a flock of about 20 or so--they are NOT easy to catch midair!!

Wonderful capture They're beautiful
Amazing capture wow!
Pterodactyls! Incoming! Great shot, I'd love to see them here but never do...
Well done!
Superb in flight capture, nice to see them, don't have such birds here..
Wow! Prehistoric looking birds in flight. Kewl capture. Aloha
I know how difficult these in_flight shots are... Excellent image ! :~)
May not be easy, but pelicans are still a bit predictable. Redwings or barn swallows in flight, now that's a challenge! (If you don't believe me, try it sometime.) Good pics btw. :)
superb
Beautiful!
An excellent shot of the magnificent avians, taken under adverse conditions, Marilyn!
wonderful shot
Gorgeous! Chicago has no pelicans, and so it's a double pleasure for me to see these graceful beauties. They look vaguely prehistoric, rather like pterodactyls with feathers, and what's not to like about that. Pelicans are such amazing critters too...I like them quite a lot. I think it's their oversized beak-bags, and the way they curve their necks back so tightly when they fly! Yeah, this shot rocks, especially if pelicans in flight are not the easiest things in the world to capture! This is remarkable!
I can't say I have ever photographed them in the air. Well done on this.
Fantastic capture! I've never seen one in person. This is delightful!
it makes a feel smile with the eyes warm hugs, Linda
I love pelicans and this is a superb capture of two of them. They look so goofy but are beautiful in flight. They have always reminded me of Pterodactyls or PBY flying boats (you have to be of a certain age to remember what these are).
Cool shot of this pair in flight. Dana
