Description

The white kitchen, on the right, was our original kitchen, when we bought this condo. The appliances were 14 years old and just basic models. All new stainless appliances, in the new kitchen, on the left. Particle board cabinets replaced with solid wood. Linoleum floors replaced with laminate flooring. Fluorescent lighting, behind ugly plastic, replaced with indirect lighting on top of the cabinets. Added a built in microwave and drop lighting over the sink. Added lighting under the cabinets. Formica counter tops replaced with granite. To create this collage, I had to squeeze the new kitchen photo. The new kitchen is actually much wider than it looks. Total conversion time was almost three months. At one point we were washing dishes, in the bathtub, for about 10 days. It was worth it. Thanks for stopping by my gallery, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

Lookin' good Dana! You failed to mention how much of your hard-earned money was converted from being yours to being someone else's, ha ha! Likely a pretty penny there.

Wow, what a renovation! Tons of bucks, effort and time invested in this grand conversion, Dana. And, you're right, compressing the photo on the left, beautiful as the new kitchen is, makes it look like there is no room to turn around. I still have particle board cabinets and Formica counter tops in my condo. And, maybe I shouldn't say it, but LOL about the bathtub routine.

several years ago I gutted a kitchen in an expensive home and replaced every thing with expensive appliances and cabinets.I finished in 2 weeks and only reason for the delay was the cabinets were delayed a reminder do not put very hot/or very cold(ice) on your counter-tops as it can cause them to crack.maybe 3 years back I replaced one section of counter-tops because the lady had set a crock pot on it.it was a $2000 mistake your new kitchen is beautiful
