Description
Still have much work to do, but here is my latest work on my cowboy poker opus.
I made the shot glasses in Hexagon (and the whiskey in them). Very advanced modeling skills. Ok - no - but a heck of a lot of time trrying to figure out how to get things into daz studio and reality properly.
The playing cards are now my own cards (ok planes that I applied vector graphics to) - still working on them. (they aren't scaled the same here I know).
This render was mostly to see how all the characters and my new shot glasses looked.
I'm going to do some reposing and try my hand at modeling some bottles.
This has become an exercise in asset management. I have learned a lot of what NOT to do in the future.

Fantastic work! Great modeling and scene composition.
beau travail!
Did they even have paper money back then? I like the details you put into it.
Thank you, I am working on more details - textures for the cards, some bottles... Yes, the US federal government began to print banknotes in 1862 (states did this much earlier) and no I did not know that off the top of my head - looked up banknotes on Wikipedia ;) But the money was dated 1862-1864 so I knew someone was printing money during that time (the money is confederate and state not Federl gov.) I actually have done a dollar coin model but I can't get it to render in reality (but it works in the daz renderer...)
I do like this wider view, but now I think the two negative spaces in the front don't quite work. perhaps if you had 2 more players arms cards and drinks coming in from the front left and right corners it would be nice...cheers friend Carl
