Description
In the months just prior to the outbreak of World War II in Europe, a Belgium pilot takes off on his first solo flight.
This is a doodle created using Sletch's "Stampe-Renard SV-4B Belgian Air Force" model from Google Warehouse. The original design was primarilly intended as a trainer. I believe 57 were produced by Stempe and Renard. I know for certain that one SV-4B served in the British Royal Air Force--having been flown by two Belgium pilots across the channel to England in order to flee the 1940 invasion by German forces. (I have a picture of it with British markings in my "The Complete Encyclopedia of World Aircraft".)
Anyway, hope you enjoy it. For some reason, I particularly like to do renders of aircraft at that moment when they lift away from the bounds of earth.
Thanks for your visits and comments.
Jeremy
