Gandhi Happy Earth Day All!!! Many cultures around the world have some version of the following, "We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children". Yet we treat the precious home we are borrowing from those children like a piece of throw away trash, with a don't worry "we'll make more" attitude. Well guess what? We can't do that with planets, and we have no other planet to go to, and our care of this one has not been up to par. Those before us have littered the back of mother earth with toxic wastes, dug deep into her flesh and we drain her veins of rich black blood, like the vampire we either fear or admire, all in the name of power and profit. I don't know how to fix all the problems we have caused our only planet, but I do know that one person at a time we can begin to change our bad habits of treating this planet like something we our selves own. So this earth day I leave you with a *caving society" motto once again. It really says it all! "Take nothing but pictures. Leave nothing but footprints. Kill nothing but time."
