Description
this is smoke from a huge fire burning by Possum Kingdom lake SW of Ft Worth.Texas is in a drought and no relief in sight.we had rain here last night but the fire area had none
Winds as high as 59 mph also carried smoke from large wildfires near Wichita Falls, creating a dense haze across much of the area.
More than 30,000 electricity customers were left without power late Friday because of arcing lines and tree branches swaying against the wires.
took this from my roof this evening

This is a shame, such a beautiful area, we have been there many times & enjoyed all the wonderful beauty. In the state park the deer will come up & eat corn from your hand. I hope the deer can get to safety.
whoaaaaaaa nellie this is a beauty !!
beautiful shot richard, we need rain also. during the haymen fire years ago i captured some very red sunsets and sunrises shots at the time.
What a wonderful capture, Richard! it looks beautiful although you mentioned smoke and fire.

It is a shame that an area has to go up in flames, but it sure does produce some spectacular images! Great capture on this one! Most excellent photo!!!!!
Moke has cool effects on sunrises and sunsets.
Great capture but not good situation. hope they get this under control
Excelente trabajo , una imagen genial!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Excelente !!!!!!Excelente !!!!!!Excelente !!!!!!Excelente !!!!!!
Firemen in several states have about been overworked this year... we could use some rain around here. Nice shot, Richard, don't choke on the smoke :)
And here we just had more snow, we had 4 feet of it since January. I'm thinking this might turn into a trend.
wonderful and perfect photo!!
Beautiful shot...
Looks like a beautiful sunset, a shame about the fire.
Very nice shot!
Fabulous capture of this fiery sunset Richard ashame there is a fire but it makes a wonderful photograph...
Great capture here Richard ; it's a pity when gorgeous areas are destroyed by fire.
Beautiful capture!!!
So sorry about the fire and the drought, dear Richard. Superb capture. Hugs. Diane. xx
beautiful work and have a nice weekend
Wonderful and beautiful work my friend....!!!
Excellent capture Ricard, the smokey haze adds atmosphere to this image. Here we have large areas of the province underwater, so much so that there is not going to be much in the way of wheat production this year, and where you live large areas are suffering droubt.
Wow this is absolutely awesome
Splendid picture!!!
