Description
Thank you for stopping for a closer look. Any and all comments are always welcome and appreciated.
Through out the downtown city center in Winnipeg we saw several really well done murals painted on the sides of buildings. The one posted today was my favorite of them all. Coming from a very rural area where the tallest building in town has 2 stories i find being in a big concrete jungle of skyscrapers to be sad and it sure makes me appreciate our small hometown. I would never make it as a city dweller, but they are wonderful to visit for short trips like the one we just did. These wall murals do help a lot in making the place more appealing to me.
Have a great wednesday!

wonderful !!
superbe mur!
Great capture of this beautiful wall art
We had some really cool murals in and throughout of our small town here but (all excellent and in good taste) but our city council of old farts thought they were a menace and had them removed...such a shame all that excellent art went to waste simply because of a few opinions of a minority group.Nice to see the one you posted is available for all to see...(smiles)....
Superb, Jim! Thanks for sharing this, my friend.
I thought the same about London :o) Nice to visit but nice to come home :o) Love the mural!!!
PRETTY COOL
I have tried with zoom, magnifying glass, etc. to see if the seam where the two different brick sizes converge is a corner. If it is a corner, painting a straight rectangular mural is an awesome accomplishment in perspective. I know, I worked my way through college painting indoor murals in oils and acrylics on the walls of rich people's houses. Aside from that, I think this is a remarkably well done mural. I really like the scene and the work is obviously one of considerable effort. Welcome home, Jim and Glenda.
I have(not any more) enjoyed living in a big city but growing up, I thought my home city was a "big city".then I went to California and seen what a big city is(LA) this is among the very best murals I have seen. excellent shot
What a wonderful mural you found in Whinnipeg, well worth the visit. I'm glad I live in a small town now I am older.
Ohhh....this is a priceless capture my friend, marvelous piece, loved it very much, congratulations!
Great capture. I agree with you my dear city life is not for us.. Although I remember when we moved from a smaller city than Winnipeg to a rural area I had cultural shock for many years.. Now the city would be very hard to ajust to. Fussy, fussy, fussy, please forgive me!!! Love and Hugs..
Magikunicorn is always posting pics of Murals painted on walls in Montreal. This kind of reminds me of the Album cover for Benefit, the 1970 release by Jethro Tull. Peace
