Been coming back to this piece for a week now. It is a striking combination of pure beauty and intense macabre. And in this case the title plays an essential element of the composition. I am glad I took the time to come back and look as I see elements that I missed, like the tears and what I thought was flecks of dirt on my screen turned out to be part of the work.
