Description
The British robin is a solitary bird most of the year and will only put up with a partner at nesting time. They will sometimes fight to the death so it is very rare to see three in close proximity and these were 'sparring' up to each other.
There was a fourth bird just out of shot on the left.
Have a good Sunday.
Jeff.

Clever of you to catch this great pose! I've got two pairs as well, and one has started a nest in a most vulnerable position.
I'm sure they had a lot to tweet to each other! Cool shot!
How wonderful to get them all in one shot when they don't usually get together. A super capture and they look so pretty with their colourful breasts.
Beautiful photo.
Jeff what a great capture of these beautiful robins. I didn't know that they could be so alienated toward each other, you learn something every day, thanks for the info. hugs Jane xx
