Probably a spiders nest, nice shot.
It could be Santa's beard! Hopes he find it again before next Christmas! ;o) Fun aside - it could be part of airborne pollen from a tree I don't know which one But an excellent capture! :o)
I think jayfar is exactly right. It looks like how a spider lays her eggs. Wonderful capture and great job
Mooie foto..............
How fascinating! I don't think spider, but perhaps someone will know.
je ne sais pas!!
I don't know what it is but is certainly is interesting. A lot of work went into creating it, whatever it is. Be sure and keep an eye on it and let us know what hatches out of it.
Wonderful capture !
Ik denk dat het zaadpluizen zijn die er opgeblazen zijn. Seedfluff, I guess.
Hoi Juliette, volgens mij zijn het zaadpluizen van de vrouwelijke bloemen van de populier. Look here: http://www.tremele.nl/natuur/plantvdmnd/2009_12dec/populier.htm
sorry to say, but they aren't seeds... I have seen 6 of them and all are created around a bud of a branch in the same way.... it must be created by an animal, I will search until I found it, but I hope someone at rendero knows
Looks a lot like cottonwood down to me, but there might be some cobweb mixed in.
I agree with jayfar!!! Excellent macro!!!
cool picture!!!!! I found it! It is a Pseudococcidae! a terrible plague! :-((( http://www.google.de/imgres?imgurl=http://admin.kleingarten-bund.de/_uploads/fachthemen/textfotos/2007/0705_wolllaus.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.kleingarten-bund.de/fachthemen/fachberatung/pflanzenschutz.php%3Faction%3DshowArticle%26articleNr%3D1322&usg=__TIXEPqRjt0vKBFWEEprZIA_mq9A=&h=344&w=425&sz=99&hl=de&start=1&zoom=1&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=VC1cD_gSjoN_sM:&tbnh=102&tbnw=126&prev=/images%3Fq%3DWolllaus%26um%3D1%26hl%3Dde%26sa%3DN%26rlz%3D1G1GGLQ_DEDE368%26tbm%3Disch&ei=CmOKTdioBsWxtAbVnvEI

I don't think spider either, but certainly a bug's way of hiding it's eggs! A marvelous capture!!
