1940 Ford Deluxe Opera Coupe
Model Year History Overview:
Styling of the new 1940 Ford was good, so good that this car became one of the most desirable single models made by any manufacturer. The hood was crisply pointed, meeting a handsome grille composed mainly of delicate horizontal bars flowing smoothly back to a rakishly angled windshield. The headlamps (sealed-beams for the first time) were faired into neat fender nacelles. The fenders themselves were beautifully curved to complement the body contours and were often skirted at the rear for the ultimate streamlined appearance.

My ex hubbie's greatest wish was to own a 1940 ford. He finally found one after our divorce and spent quite a few years customizing. This is the final result. Many tropies were won but he doesnt have any pics of them..His name is Mike, hense the "Mikey Likes It" on the rear window
He sold it for $40,000...with it he bought a new Corvette.. Still waiting for a ride LOL.

Beautiful car, he did a nice job with it. My dad owned his own auto body shop and he restored a 1938 Chrysler airflow back in the 70's. You can't beat these old beauties.
