Description
Ground crew and pilot compare notes on their star pupil! This wonderful Spitfire VIII flies in the colours of fighter ace Wing Commander Bobby Gibbes. About an hour after taking these shots, I got to very briefly sit in the old gal's cockpit. I was giggling like an idiot and thinking 'I'm not worthy......I'm not worthy'!!!!!
See below for a different view of the same scene.

Stunning shot, great detail, excellent image.
On the other wing there is a green light... That is my colour - green with envy! Clive
Lol, I would have loved to have seen you there!!
Makes me realise how very small they are.
It shines of all the cleaning and polishing. Outstanding photography.

Great shot(s). What a wonderful job they've done on this plane. I can imagine your thrill.
Yep!.... I did that as well! LOL One of the BIGGEST highlights of my life was to sit in a Spitfire and be told by a current RAF pilot what was what! Heaven.... Dude, remember it.... Rob
