Description
Cartoon time again folks. I had noticed that the venerable Anson is extremely neglected by aircraft artists, so I set out to remedy the situation. Only one aircraft was made in more numbers than this during the war and that was the Wellington. 11,200 Ansons were made and most pilots did a stint on them. (It was, incidentally, the first aircraft I personally ever flew in). Stirring tales abound about the Anson. For instance, one day three of these got bounced by nine ME 109's. No Ansons were lost, but only seven ME's got away.

Really cool artwork & aircraft!
I remember the Anson from the old Airfix kit (of the 1960s). Good render.
NICE done ! :)
If you don't mind I'll just pull up a seat here and learn some history and watch you create these Impressively Detailed Aircraft's of days gone by....(smiles)..
I sincerely hope that some have been saved and restored by those who are, or were, fond of that neat bird. That would be an excellent candidate for someones personal historical collection. I would love to have one myself, but I dont even fly. Thanks for posting yet another super creation.
I like this one, excellent painting & compositing. But I don't understand why you post this in the Vue gallery. Looks like there's very little Vue here...
Great artwork! Very good job, unfortunately, very few have been saved and most of those that have were later marks.. Shame.. An excellent aircraft.. Rob
excellent
Believe it or not, this is one that I know very little about. Would like to know more.
