Please don't hack on the content, this image was just thown together so I could practice painting more hair.
I tried to add more imperfections, lighting and shadows. Constructive criticism is welcome. Suggestions are appreciated...

Sorry, I forgot credits. Texture by SteffyZ (Asia), Dagger (Sorry I don't remember who did it, apologies. It is in the free stuff area.). I made the Chain Vest and Waist covering, Leggings, and Face Guard in C4D. Hair was done in Photoshop7. Image was rendered in C4D. Cheers...

Looks EXCELLENT, the lighting effects are outstanding... gotta learn how to do that.

Ok, you wanted honest feedback, so as a fellow artist that longs to hear that useful critique, I'm going to give it because you asked for it. ~grin~ Believe it or not, I really like the scene set up, posing, lighting and props. Now it comes down to the hair thing. I really like the shape and flow you went with here, really good, however I feel the strands are too thick in size, I don't know it's hard to put my finger on it, but it almost looks kind of Jellish and the ends are too abrupt. I like the color and the highlights and shadows are great, pls don't think I'm doing this to be picky or such or to be mean, it's completely the opposite. I wouldn't have even commented if I didn't think your work was good to begin with. ~grin~ Take care and keep up the hair work!
That is exactly the comment I was lookig for... Thanx. I tried a larger brush to fill in the underlying hair. It took less time but does not look as good.

I think the wild hair fits the image. It looks almost extruded....very funky!!!
Depends on what kind of effect you want. I think too realistic hair detracts sometimes. I like the shaman hairm it has real distinctive style. It wouldn't work if she was in a ball gown by candlelight, but it works here. I'm betting levitating a knife-- it's sharkeys:)-- is easier than painting all those strands. All this really lacks right now is a teense more confidence-- which will come with the next one or the one after that. Do paint your fantastic hair, not someone else's, please.
