Description
Kelly and her grandmother.
I've been studying the whole webcomics world and am discovering a lot of things. The "no scroll" format seems to be preferred, and a fixed size seems to be good if you want to collect things into a book later. Until now, I had been doing long vertical strips of indeterminate length. This one is different: what do you think of this shape/size?
I've also been investigating hosting companies for when/if I spin off my own website. I was amazed at some of the censoring! Some hosts won't show violence, some won't show things "harmful to minors in any way," and some specifically don't allow swear words - on sites or even in E-MAIL. I had no idea!
I've been looking around with this "acid test": if the site were a mainstream horror movie, would it be allowed? Think about it: a group of teens go out to the woods to drink beer... Yeah, you know the rest, and a lot of hosts would have stopped me already.
All things considered, Renderosity does have a pretty lenient policy. (Although towards Easter people tend to trip up on one certain bit of TOS fine print...)
So... still in the planning phase. Please view this FULL-SIZED and let me know if it does not fit your screen!!

This is perfect! You have done wonderful! And not to digress, I would like to know how this woman became Kelly's grandmother! Please appease that curiosity in me! As for the various sites that censor creativity, I know exactly what you mean, reason I have my own website! You're brilliant, as usual - now, have a flash back or a story on how this black grandmother ended up with white grandchildren! Thumbs up on the size and format!
Ahh, now isn't that a big mystery... :-)
This fits. If you're planning on collecting them in a book you might want to try a more vertical format (most comic books in the US are usually 2 panels across with 3 down). Also you should save the pages in a loss-less format (tiff seems to be preferred) at least three times the size you would have for the web. Though you should check sources on this; there are several books out there on making webcomics. For some webcomics that have gone to print, try: A girl and her Fed (http://www.agirlandherfed.com/) and Freak Angels (http://www.freakangels.com/) Freakangels uses a 2 x 2 format, but the panels are higher than they are wide. A Girl and her Fed uses 2 x 3.
Hey, thanks for the tip! I will have to investigate...
Great image! I like this format better than the other No scrolling
Good job! I have been experimenting with comics, there are some sites out there that will host that have horror categories. I use http://www.smackjeeves.com/
