Description

Project Orion Callisto Mission Part seven of my Project Orion Series, previous installments at the links below. Part One: Project Orion: A Design Overview. Part Two: Right Before Part Three: Project Orion Historical Context Chart Part Four: General Atomics Lunar Shuttle Part Five: Project Orion Exploration Systems Part Six: Project Orion Exploration Vehicle Diagram As promised the 20-Meter Exploration Spacecraft configured for the Callisto Mission. Notes regarding artistic license: I’ve kept the shadows reduced in this by retaining much of my diagram-lighting rig – to keep details visible and clear. Cassini Jupiter tweaked in Photoshop. As always, thank you all for your thoughtful comments, interest, and encouragement. Background image photo credit: Cassini Jupiter NASA/JPL
