Description
Our cabin, for this cruise, was listed as having an ocean view. We could see the ocean but as you can see, to the right is the back end of our lifeboat and to the left is the winch that lowers the lifeboat, in case of an emergency. Please understand that this is not a complaint. We didn’t reserve an outside ocean view cabin. We just book a cabin on the ship and take our chances. Eighty percent of Carnivals cabins are outside cabins and as frequent Carnival cruisers, they never assign us to an inside cabin. After all, when we are in the cabin, it is usually dark out anyway.

This would be my ideal cabin, a stones throw from the lifeboat. Don't like the thought of being surrounded by water, so I could climb out the window & jump on the boat, in theory :o) :o)

I'm with jendellas, I think it's just fine to be able to see the lifeboat at all times! I love boating, but I think being on a cruise ship would be akin to an airplane, too big for me and too much loss of control. I admire them from afar, and listen to the wonderful tales of all that happens on them, but I don't think I'd be all that comfortable on one!
Just like being there right along with you...of course I'd be throwing up every 10 minutes...I have no ocean legs that I'm aware of....lol... Great Capture Dana!

Those cruise ships are so huge and you are so high up. I sure would not want to fall overboard. You probably spent little time in the room during the day anyway. Still a dramatic shot, well done.
