Hello.
I am sure many of you know by now, 6.3 mag. earthquake hit Christchurch not long ago. I love New Zealand and specialy love Christchurc with its many wonderful thing. One of them is the Cathedral. I made this shot 2 month ago at my last visit there. Standing in its glory realy a wonderful sight.
Today this historical building is crumbled almost to the ground. You see the 2 little window apart next to each other? Well, what you see above those windows is gone. Turn to ash and broken bricks.
Unfortunately also many ppl trapped and fear of many lost their life there. This is just so disturbing and very upsetting.
Forgive me my rubble, but I do feel for these ppl and the city.
I am not sure if I can bring myself to comment on your art today, pls forgive me...

Very beautiful photo and very sad event
I am so very sorry that this beautiful building succumbed to the quake; I know how devastating these quakes can be, I've been through a number of big ones in my lifetime. Excellent capture!

very sad lose of a a beautiful building but sadder still that there were people that lost loved ones in the tradgedy.
Terrific POV, perspective, colors, lighting and textural effects in this capture of the cathedral that no longer exists after the earthquake.
I saw the tower at NPauling gallery.... And it was written there that it could be seen here too.. Sad to see it is gone for real.. and so many people gone dedicaded my image of today for the New Zealand community. It woke me up last night, even though I am near old Zeeland in NL.
