I close my eyes and seek the spirit
That has flown with mine before
I hunger for the love and laughter
Locked inside the thunder's roar
Scenes replay without a warning
Like some movie stuck in time
Fleeting remnants tattered visions
Shattered dreams you'll never find
What was wasted? What was wished for?
What was held throughout the storm?
Did you trade your love for Glory?
Was she enough to keep you warm?
But Glory is a fickle lover
Hollow idols always fall
Still others wait to steal the throne
To answer Fame's hypnotic call
Pale and silent are the lonely
Haunted by regrets and shame
Cast aside their love and morals
For one fleeting chance at fame
