I keep getting distracted these days - first it was Zbrush and now Matcreator has got me to try 3D-Coat as well. And after some initial confusion and frustration, I'm starting to be quite impressed!
This is my first attempt at a model in 3D-Coat. It uses a set of detailing models that come with the program and will make designing all kinds of spaceships a breeze. There's a nice demo on their site too. Mine's a little rough around the edges - done fairly quickly in 3D-Coat, exported to Carrara where it was UV mapped and given an overall texture, then rendered and postworked in Photoshop.

Well, I think it's brilliant! Looks like you're well on the way with you new distractions. This is excellent. This 3D world is definitely one with an infinite number of paths to distract you. So many goodies, so little time....
