Great capture of these earthstars Kim - I've never seen one like this as we dont get them in the UK. Apparently they are not edible as they are far too bitter in taste, but I dont know if they are poisonous as well. (Doesnt look like something you'd want to eat though lol)
beautiful shot Kim, love the cool schroom.
I've never seen those ones :)
OH Yeah ! I dont think I have ever seen these in Denmark or maybe it is just me who havent seen them. They are so beautiful and it is a marvellous shot.

Wow, they are un usual, never seen before!!!
What an amazing find.
Great shot Kim, Andrea will know.
Unique shot! I have not seen this mushroom in Bulgaria, but just looked in some Chinese web sites and got some info. In China they also call it "Earth star" mushroom, as well as "Earth spider". According to TCM, it has medicinal properties: activates blood circulation, stops bleeding, strengthens the lungs. Used for treating bronchitis and pneumonia.
Amazing shot Kim, fabulous textures, congratulations!
Are you sure it's from this planet? What an odd fungus. Truly an amazing shot! They look really large. Thanks for showing this, it's wonderful to see.

beautiful, love the colors and lighting excellent work
Great capture! Mushrooms have always fascinated me with their somewhat alien look! Most interesting is that they are closer related to animals than plants! But a bit funny, after looking at fractals at Rendo I start seing fractals, also in these? ;o)
I love the wonderful textures in these super shrooms. A very interesting capture.

My late grandfather used to say, "There's a FUNGUS among US!" (SMILE).This kinda' looks like a BAD case o' ATHLETE'S FOOT! (WINK). EXCELLENT photo, kbrog!
Awesome Looking Mushrooms,Excellent Capture
Awesome textures!
Etrange mais très beau. Et quand est champignon est aussi beau, il est souvent préférable de ne pas le manger. Dans le doute, abstiens-toi.
