It's a litle hard to describe what I see in this MB.
In the medieval days the Portugese and Spanish ship captains had such beautiful jackets(?).
With embroidery and lace.
That is what I see here, a part of the front.

Corrie, you took me utterly by surprise. I saw the title, then I looked at the fractal and thought "a massive moving Roman military front led by tightly spaced siege weapons approaching a castle wall" I must confess jackets did not occur to me. We are in sync on the time-line though. Still, I have seen examples of what you are talking about in museums and I must agree, that works for me too. Whatever you call it, it is definitely very COOL!
