Description
I spend a lot of time in the Wakodahatchee Wetlands, west of Delray Beach, Florida. It is only about a mile (1,609 meters) from our home. I sometimes call it the swamp since I think that it represents all of what was Florida, a thousand years ago. Last week, I was shocked to spot two Peacocks, out in the wild. Not something that you expect to see, in a swamp, with those big alligators roaming around. Lots of research, only to find that there are at least 115 varieties of peacocks. They are not white enough to be white peacocks so with the help of LeggsPeaFowl.com I think that I saw two juvenile peacocks that could mature to be just about any of the varieties. They were about the size of a full grown goose. I hope that you like her/him.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments.
They are very much appreciated.

Impressive capture. I've always seen the males with their fancy tails
very beautiful bird and photo!!
We don't see photos of the females very often since they're not as dramatic as the males. Very interesting! Thanks for sharing.
What an incredible place to be able to wander around!! And this is a great shot; the light is wonderful, not to mention the bird--wow!!
Beautiful capture of this outstanding bird, excellent!
Nice shot.
Not a Peacock. I grew up next to a pen with dozens of Peacocks and this ain't it. Looks almost like a wild turkey crossed with a peacock. They certainly were good watch dogs. No one entered the street without a cry to attention. Nice Shot.
Beautiful capture !!!!!!
With the plume on top I think its a peacock. Nice shot Dana.
You can see where the expression 'peabrained' came from!
Beautiful bird and capture of him/her! But does he/she looks a bit sour? ;o)

WONDERFUL CAPTURE
Wow, an albino peahen/peafowl experiment gone awry! Wonderful photo of this curious variety of peacock, Dana. Great bundle of plump feathers on this big bird. Handsome creature. Never saw or knew anything of this variety even existed.
A super capture of this beautiful bird with her lovely white plumage. She looks so different from the usual peacocks. I hope she survives.
Wonderful capture and close up.
