Nice work Alex. I bet it took ages to render?! The small debris looks almost like a collision at the back of the MF. I find the large rocks at the MF's base ditracting but I think thats due to the shadow on the mesh & the shadow on the asteroid which makes them look either merged or like the MF is parked on the rock. I'm surprised that you didnt composite 2 renders together. 1 without the MF & with a glowing form for the tail engines, then a second image with the MF in place. Merge the 2 images to make 1 complete piece. One thing to watch for between mesh shadows & Vol shadows is Vol shadows are very sharp, whereas mesh shadows tend to be soft by default. You can amend the mesh shadows to be harder which helps to sit the whole piece together better, however altering mojo default shadows via the sunlight does come at a render price!! I love your asteroid pieces, I think its one of your niche areas :-)

I'm really waiting for your comment "..shadow on the mesh & the shadow on the asteroid"- i knew that you pay attention to it (seriously). Possibly, this depends on adjustment of contrast of the monitor.. On mine Benq 241VW i see a precise difference of color in this place, considering this image on a laptop i see the dark merged spot :( Two renderses were my secret :) if you look closely, you can see the motor exhaust ... it is there behind ;) I did this render with the switched off volumetric and traced shadows.... otherwise, it would significantly increase the rendering time. shadow at the bottom of the MF is added and made in the Photoshop.
