Description
A friend made a passing remark about my first "Tron" inspired post, which got me looking at the ship model in a different way, and suddenly I found myself doing this to it. Not at all what I'd expected from it, but I have to say I really like the result! Trying out different styles has really been a fun thing, and I'm starting to feel like I'm ready to move back into my "near future" style for a bit so I can really use what I've learned.
Comments/critiques/suggestions are most definitely encouraged, I really like it when people offer feedback whether it's positive or negative, that's how I learn.
Enjoy!

Cool! I like the textures. I like the ships. They remind of cross between a manta and a moth. In a good way.
The asymmetry is interesting!
Nice!

So wonderful sci-fi!
Dang, Mike, your spaceship designs just continue to blow my mind, my friend! I love these ships, and of course your textures are fantastic! And your starscape kicks butt, too! Magnificent, my friend!
Nice work!
GORGEOUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
This is one amazing render! You do these so easily, or you make it look easy! I love the directions you allow yourself to go into in terms of ship configurations and textures, and your insect-inspired images are...well...what can I say? Inspired! This is super stuff and I'd like to see these guys in action. They look so graceful, nicely alien, somewhat mysterious and yet vague familiar--if that makes any sense. Really well done stuff here. I can easily see this image inspiring a number of intriguing stories, and I also agree that Kadydid is a perfect name. This is fantastic!
