Description
The building in front is called Hotel new York, and has been used by the people of the Holland-America line in earlier times. The modern building in the back is called Montevideo and is obviously build in a complete different era. I shot the image way back in 2007, and when scrolling through some oldies I thought it could use some rework. I never posted the earlier one here for I send it to a contest then, and ofcourse it didn't win anything for it was in a period I went over the top way too much. It's still not the best of my works imho but well, it looks a lot better than the other one. I have tried to fit it straight up into the lens, but it couldn't unless I took a swim in the river Maas, wich on it's turn would have been destroying my camera, so it's the best of two choices this way...

Good thing I'm not drunk, LOL, it would make me very dizzy! It is an excellent shot! Sometimes a shot like this better and gives more interest to the composition then a nice normal shot.
