Description
Yesterday I was down at Hat Rock again taking pictures and I was just leaving when this beautiful bald eagle landed in a tree across the pond. Well I had to try and get him. I got about half of the way to him when he took off across the Columbia River headed to the Washington side of the river. Now I had my zoom all the way out. And my zoom goes up to a 500 mm so the view in the view finder was very small, I had my eye to the camera going everywhere to try and find him and when I finally did he was so far away I didn’t think I would get any kind of picture at all. It was in my view finder for just a second and I snapped the shot off. So this may not be the best bald eagle shot but I am so proud of it because of how hard and how far away he was. I think he came out pretty good. I know he will be back again another day on this site with a poem right beside him. I hope you like him too

Beautiful shot and bird!
Beautiful capture! It's wonderful to see him with wings outstretched, high above the world, and king of all he surveys.
Excellent capture, One of the birds on my short list; they are my priority this winter thanks for sharing this beauty!
